Running back Herschel Walker of the New Jersey Generals said he will remain committed to the team and owner Donald Trump as long as the United States Football League has a chance to survive.
Walker, speaking publicly for the first time since a court ruling Tuesday seriously jeopardized the USFL’s future, said he is loyal to Trump.
“People like other people to live out their obligations before they start jumping around,” Walker told the Dallas Times Herald. “If I was under contract to the Cowboys right now, people would want me to live up to my word. And right now, my word is with the Generals.”
