Silicon Systems Inc. and another high-tech company are working together to develop a line of high-performance integrated circuits in hopes of winning a piece of a $250-million-a-year market, the company said Wednesday.

Tustin-based Silicon Systems, a maker of integrated circuits, said it wants to have a line of “mixed-signal” integrated circuits--which handle both analog and digital data--by next spring. Its partner in the product development venture is Ferranti Interdesign Inc. of Scotts Valley, located near Santa Cruz. Each company will have full rights to products produced.
