Air Museum Head Quitting

WASHINGTON — Walter Boyne, director of the National Air and Space Museum since 1983, will resign later this month to concentrate on promoting his novel about Air Force life, the Smithsonian Institution announced Thursday. Boyne, 57, served in the Air Force for 22 years.
