Here’s Hoping Criticism Won’t Affect Sax
It’s sad to see the Dodgers’ young rookie players in hitting slumps, particularly when it seems avoidable. I’m sure the tension created by playing a different position every game is bound to affect their hitting. Changing so often is hard, even for veteran players. But, apparently, the lesson of Pedro Guerrero at third base is forgotten.
If Tommy Lasorda would just waive his inflexible rule of “lefty vs. righty” and let the kids play at a set and familiar position, I’m sure their hitting would improve.
