REAGAN, DRUGS AND ROCK ‘N’ ROLL

Let’s start with two immensely talented rock artists, David Crosby and James Taylor. Their drug habits and past advocation of drugs were well-known.

The list of rock star drug users go on and on and on. Let’s face it. A lot of good music, especially from the ‘60s seems to have a “pro dope” philosophy as its basis (“Purple Haze,” “White Rabbit,” etc.).

C’mon, Patrick. Reagan should have been more specific. To go to the opposite extreme, however, and quote paranoid record industry executives who claim, in effect, that the music industry is “drug free,” is the most absurd thing I’ve heard in a long time.
