Work Begins on La Jolla Center
Work is under way on Colony Plaza, a $8.8-million, 72,645-square-foot shopping center in La Jolla, to be anchored by a 40,000-square-foot Vons market. The center is being developed by Pacific Development Group of Newport Beach.
Opening is scheduled for the last quarter of this year. Colony Plaza is located at the northwest corner of Regents and Arriba streets, in La Jolla’s University Towne Centre area.
It will feature 21,145 square feet of leasable space and two pads one of which will e occupied by a 6,500-square-foot branch of San Diego Trust & Savings.
Edward L. Ormen AIA Architecture and Planning of San Diego is architect for the project and Douglas Newcomb Inc. of Tustin is landscape architect.
