Hummel Heads Builders’ City of Hope Aid Group
Mike Hummel, vice president and district manager of the Los Angeles office of HCB Contractors, has been elected president of the Los Angeles County Construction Industries Alliance for the City of Hope.
Other officers are Jim Williams, Cannon Constructors Inc., immediate past president; Robert M. Holmes, Oltmans Construction Co., chairman of the executive committee; C.V. Holder, C.V. Holder Inc., secretary, and Timothy J. McAnany, Randall/McAnany Co., treasurer.
Founded in 1972, the alliance has raised in excess of $3 million for the City of Hope Medical Center and the Beckman Research Institute, according to City of Hope president Abraham S. Bolsky of Tishman Construction Corp.
Hummel was honored by the alliance in 1983 with the “Spirit of Life,” the most prestigious award given on behalf of the City of Hope.
Other officers for 1986-87 include the following vice presidents: Rose Bastone, Morley Benjamin, Albert A. Erkel, Alfred Fadel, Joseph B. Garron, Susan Hoaglund, Allan N. Lowy, Ira C. Norris, Alan Rosen, Roger C. Werbel and Milton A. Widelitz.
