$130-Million Project Starts in Long Beach
Construction will begin this week on the $130-million Shoreline Square project that will encompass a full city block at Ocean and Long Beach boulevards in downtown Long Beach.
The project by Shoreline Square Associates will feature a 502-room, 16-story Sheraton Hotel and a 417,000-square-foot, 21-story office and retail building, according to Stanley Cohen of Shoreline Square Associates.
Ground-breaking ceremonies will be held at the site at 4 p.m. Thursday. The architect for the complex, which will include a 1,400-car parking garage, is Maxwell Starkman Associates, Beverly Hills.
