Two witnesses to the burning death of a Chilean resident of the United States during anti-government protests in Chile were freed by police after being detained for a day, a military judge in Santiago reported. The sister and brother-in-law of Carmen Quintana, 18, who was gravely injured in the burning incident which caused the death of Rodrigo Rojas of Washington, D.C., were detained to answer possible arms charges. However, Judge Alberto Marquez said that no charges would be filed against the two.
