The Culver City council has approved a two-year agreement with the Culver City Police Officers Assn. that increases the value of health and other benefits for patrolmen and sergeants.

The agreement includes a new health benefits package for 1987, a revised bonus plan for uniformed officers and increases in compensation for off-duty officers available for day court duty.

According to a council staff report, the cost of the agreement will increase next year by 2.2% over the previous agreement and by 2.5% in 1988. Salary increases for Culver City police have been delayed until the Los Angeles Police Department finishes its negotiations, the report stated.
