Faria Wins Sixth Main Event of Year

Colton’s Mike Faria won his sixth main event of the year Friday night at the weekly speedway motorcycle races at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa. A crowd of 6,114 watched Faria defeated Gerry Hicks of Glen Avon.

Faria has the most main event wins at the track this season.

Mark Weaver of Lake Elsinore won the handicap main event, Jay Gianetti of Garden Grove won the second-division main event and Dave Perry of La Canada won the third-division main event.
