Audis Recalled Over Possible Engine Fires

WASHINGTON —
Volkswagen of America is recalling 80,000 Audi 5000S vehicles from the 1985-86 model years to fix misadjusted fuel distributors that could lead to engine fires, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration documents showed Tuesday.
The agency said misadjustment of the fuel distributor allows fuel to escape and be absorbed by the air filter, which can lead to fires in the engine compartment.
