Entrance fees at national parks, including Yosemite and Sequoia-Kings Canyon in California, will rise as much as 150% next year, federal officials said. The fee will rise from $3 per car to $5 at Yosemite and from $2 at Sequoia-Kings Canyon to $4. The biggest increase will more than double the price of the popular Golden Eagle Passport, the annual pass to all national parks, which will jump from $10 to $25. Officials said the new fees are designed to generate $59 million in additional revenues. They said $15 million of the collected fees will be returned to the National Park Service, with half going to the individual parks that collected the money. In the past, all entrance fees collected in the national parks went into a general fund.
