Egypt, Uganda Assail Israel Settlement Policy

CAIRO — Israel’s policy of building Jewish settlements in occupied Arab territory was denounced by Egypt and Uganda on Wednesday, saying it obstructs the Middle East peace process.
A joint communique issued by visiting Ugandan Foreign Minister Ibrahim Mukibi, who was ending a six-day visit here, and the Egyptian government said the settlements policy is harmful to Mideast peace efforts.
