The Dallas Times Herald sued the Morning News.
The Audit Bureau of Circulations was also named in the lawsuit, which challenges the accuracy of Dallas Morning News circulation figures. The suit, filed in Chicago federal court, accuses the Morning News of fraudulently inflating circulation figures, antitrust and other violations. The Times Herald accused the Illinois-based ABC, which audits the paid circulation of most major daily newspapers, of negligence in releasing the Morning News’ circulation figures. Burl Osborne, president and editor of the Morning News, called the allegations “without foundation.”
