Lyle Setencich resigned as the head football coach at Boise State after the Broncos ended the season with a 21-14 loss to the University of Idaho and posted their first losing year since 1946.
The Broncos were 5-6 overall and 3-4 in the Big Sky Conference.
Setencich, 41, had a four-year record of 24-20.
