A furious battle erupted today in state Supreme Court over a diary supposedly chronicling the sex life of a teen-ager killed by her preppie boyfriend, with the victim’s father describing as “obscene” a defense request to make his daughter’s diary public.

The lawyer for Robert Emmet Chambers Jr., 20--a former altar boy who claims he accidentally choked Jennifer Levin, 18, during kinky sex in Central Park--subpoenaed Steven Levin to produce the so-called sex diary. Justice Howard Bell reserved decision today on whether the family must hand over the diary.
