Pickel Undergoes Surgery on Knee

Raider nose tackle Bill Pickel underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Tuesday, which will end his season one game before Sunday’s game here against the Indianapolis Colts.

Pickel was considered one of the Raiders’ best defenders all season. His 11 1/2 sacks were seventh in the AFC going into last weekend’s games. The Raiders had been pushing him for Pro Bowl consideration.
