Police asked for the public’s help in finding a 43-year-old mentally retarded man who has been missing since boarding a flight from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. Leroy Jordan, 43, who family members said is 6-foot-4 and weighs 240 pounds but has the mind of a 9-year-old, was traveling to spend his family’s first Christmas together in Los Angeles. Family members believe he wandered off the plane upon arrival at Los Angeles, but airline officials said Jordan may be in Houston, the plane’s next stop. Jordan’s sister, Rachel Butler of South Los Angeles, said Jordan has high blood pressure, diabetes and is prone to seizures. Police asked anyone with information about Jordan to call the missing persons bureau at (213)-485-5381.
