Ammunition Blows Up in Tehran Accident

NICOSIA, Cyprus — A consignment of ammunition blew up inside a garrison in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Saturday and some people were injured, the official Islamic Republic News Agency said.
The agency, monitored in Nicosia, said the ammunition “accidentally detonated” while it was being transported inside the compound. Some residents of Tehran heard the explosion, it said.
