Eiland Leads Irvine to a 78-55 Victory

Cheryl Eiland, a sophomore center, scored 15 points to lead UC Irvine to a 78-55 nonconference victory over Loyola Marymount Saturday night in women’s basketball action.

Eiland was 7 of 8 from the field and also had a game-high 7 rebounds.

Freshman guard Shurrell Johnson and Junior forward Zalina Walton scored 11 points each for the Anteaters (3-5).

Junior center Natalie Crawford scored 10 points.

Chris Connolly scored 15 points and Sylva Bower 12 for the Lions (3-5).
