Election Date

Well, it has finally happened. After 45 years of never having missed voting for an election, regardless of how small or unimportant, it took the Los Angeles Election Commission to put a halt to this record of mine by scheduling a council primary election on April 14, 1987, on a major Jewish holiday. How this could happen is beyond me. The elections are normally held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in April. This date would have been fine. It seems that the election board has done this on purpose to test the Jewish vote.

There is still time to correct this situation. It is over four months before this election and there has not been any literature sent out. I have complained to my councilman and someone from his office was to get back to me but never did. You can be assured that this councilman will not be getting my vote if this is not corrected. Yes, he is up for election at this time.
