Symphony’s Stolen Computers Found
The El Cajon Police Department announced late Wednesday that it had recovered an estimated $20,000 worth of computers and office equipment stolen Dec. 21 from the offices of the San Diego Symphony.
A department spokesman said officers recovered three electric typewriters, one printer, two computers and miscellaneous other equipment at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in East County. No further details were given, but a spokesman said no arrests had been made and an investigation is continuing.
The symphony was already beset by financial problems and a canceled season when the burglary occurred.
Symphony officials said the thieves took personal goods such as food, facial tissues and two T-shirts, in addition to the office equipment.
