Stronger Kings to Meet Oilers
EDMONTON — The Kings are starting to feel better about their 8-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers last Saturday night. The food poisoning that had weakened at least six of the Kings has passed, and a stronger team will face the Oilers tonight at 6:35 p.m. PST in Northlands Coliseum.
The Kings (17-19-4) will be boosted by the probable return of defenseman Mark Hardy. Hardy has missed six games with a strained muscle on his left side. In addition, Morris Lukowich, who was given a match penalty for kicking the Oilers’ Stu Kulak in Saturday’s game, will be fined but not suspended, as was originally thought. Lukowich has scored five goals in the last seven games.
