SportsScope : Loyola’s High-Scoring Lion Cagers to Face Three at Home
Robyn Queen, a junior soccer forward at Cal State Dominguez Hills, has been named a second-team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Assn. of America. Queen was the No. 4 scorer in the country last season with 21 goals and 10 assists for 52 points, helping lead the Lady Toros to a 15-1-2 record. She’s the first women soccer player to earn All-America honors at Dominguez Hills.
Carin Jennings of UC Santa Barbara, a senior out of Palos Verdes High, was named to the third team, her fourth straight year as an All-American. She ends her career as the NCAA’s all-time female scorer. Kathy Gustafson, a senior forward at UC Berkeley out of Palos Verdes, was also named to the third team.
