ATLANTA —
UCLA football Coach Terry Donahue, who had been expected to accept an offer to replace former Atlanta Falcons Coach Dan Henning, turned the job down today in a telephone call to team owners.
The Falcons said Donahue, 42, chose to stay at UCLA. The Falcons reportedly offered Donahue a five-year contract worth between $2.4 million and $2.5 million, as well as control of the football operation. Donahue, coach for the Bruins for the last 11 years, has an 88-34-7 record at UCLA.
