Orange County Community College Basketball : Golden West Women Win, 102-52
Sophomore forward April Marion scored 26 points and freshman guard Jeannine Battaglia had 25 Friday night as the Golden West College women’s basketball team routed Mt. San Antonio, 102-52, in a South Coast Conference game at Golden West. Golden West improved its conference record to 4-0 and its overall record to 21-1. The Mounties are 1-3 and 4-10.
In the Orange Empire Conference:
Cypress 102, Citrus 64--Forward Pam Fritsch scored 24 points and guard Karen Caires added 20 as the Chargers (2-0, 14-7) defeated the Owls at Cypress.
Orange Coast 68, Rancho Santiago 62--Forward Lisa Schumaker scored 31 points and had 15 rebounds to lead the Pirates (1-1, 11-11) at Orange Coast.
In men’s basketball:
Mt. San Antonio 59, Golden West 44--Cleotis Jarmon scored 20 points and James Jones added 14 as the the Mounties (1-3, 8-11) won at Mt. San Antonio.
Cypress 73, Citrus 67--Jim Sammon scored 25 points for the Chargers (2-0, 14-9) at Citrus.
