The body of a man washed ashore Sunday morning in an area of Ocean Beach known as Dog Beach, authorities said.
Deputy county coroner Jack Larkie said the unidentified man was black, between 45 and 55 years old, clean shaven, weighed 175 pounds and was 6-foot, 1-inch tall. He was wearing a pink short-sleeve shirt, striped brown necktie, black trousers and brown loafers.
The body was discovered just before 7 a.m. by a local resident. There was no sign the man had suffered severe trauma, and Larkie said the cause of death was not apparent.
