Fan of Short Trips

The Nov. 23 Trip of the Week article by Tom and Michele Grimm about Hanford, Calif., prompted my husband and me to spend a weekend there; we had a wonderful time. We explored historic Hanford, dined at what is surely one of the best restaurants in the state, and stayed in a charming Victorian inn. The Imperial Dynasty’s eight-course dinner was a gourmand’s dream. We stayed at the Hanford Victorian Inn (soon to be renamed the Irwin Street Inn), which was mentioned in the article. The people at Hanford’s Chamber of Commerce are very helpful in directing visitors to the most interesting places, most of which are within walking distance of the Hanford Victorian. Thanks for recommending Hanford; we plan to return soon.
