David Wiksell, 47, of Van Nuys pleaded not guilty Monday in Los Angeles Municipal Court to charges that he helped bilk more than 500 investors out of $5 million through a now-defunct San Fernando Valley investment firm.

Wiksell, who is being held on $5 million bail, is charged by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office with three counts of violating corporate securities laws as a vice president of Comstock Financial Services of Universal City. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Feb. 20 in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Last Friday, Roy L. Comstock, 47, Comstock Financial’s former chairman, pleaded not guilty to charges in the case.
