Basque Terrorists’ Bomb Kills Cleaning Woman
A bomb set by Basque terrorists exploded at a car dealership in this northern city, severely wounding a 60-year-old cleaning woman who died from her injuries Friday, police said.
Luisa Sanchez Ortega died during surgery after the blast Thursday night severed both her legs, broke her arm and severely burned her face, police said. A caller identifying himself as a spokesman for the Basque separatist organization ETA told the Red Cross in Bilbao that a bomb would go off at 11 p.m. at the Renault dealership.
The bomb exploded at 10:30 p.m. ETA has used the tactic before to lure police to the scene when its bombs explode.
