AND NOW HERE’S THE NEWS: Nona Hendryx, whose records have been hits in the dance clubs but not on the charts, is bringing out the heavy-hitters for her upcoming solo album, provocatively titled “Female Trouble,” which is due out in April from EMI/America Records. Highlights include a new Prince song, “Baby Go Go” (featuring background vocals by Mavis Staples and George Clinton), as well as a duet with Peter Gabriel on a new Hendryx ballad, “Winds of Change,” which she wrote after reading a collection of letters from Winnie Mandela to her husband, Nelson. The album’s debut single, “Why Should I Cry,” should be out later this month. . . . Our Odd Couple of the Week Award goes to Fishbone and Annette Funicello, who are making a remake of “Jamaica Ska” together for the upcoming film “Back to the Beach.” . . . Meanwhile, producer Peter Asher will be at the helm of the new 10,000 Maniacs albums, due out later this year. . . . The new Motley Crue album, due out in April from Elektra, is now titled (what else?) “Girls, Girls, Girls.” . . . And don’t confuse that with the upcoming Cure album, also due in April, which is called “Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me.”
