The car was traveling east on Mulholland Drive near Java Drive when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle about 7:35 p.m., Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Jim Williamson said.

Two of the injured were taken by helicopter to the University of California-UCLA Medical Center in West Los Angeles, Williamson said. The two, a father and son, were listed in stable condition, a hospital spokeswoman said, adding that she was not allowed to identify them.
