Villa Park : Fire at $1.2-Million Home Called Arson
A fire that caused an estimated $470,000 in damage to a $1.2-million Villa Park house Saturday night was set by an arsonist, a county Fire Department spokeswoman said Monday.
The house, in the 9700 block of Daron Drive, belongs to Mary Lou Estrada, said the spokeswoman, Kathleen Cha. No one was home when the fire erupted, and no one was injured, she said.
Fire investigators have declined to specify what led them to conclude that arson was involved, she said.
