Waldheim to Make 1st State Visit as President

VIENNA — Austrian President Kurt Waldheim accepted an invitation from Jordan’s King Hussein to make an official state visit to the Arab country later this year, a Waldheim spokesman said today.
The trip would be Waldheim’s first official foreign visit since his controversial election last June amid allegations of Nazi wartime links.
