Lazers Are Blasted in Kansas City, 12-2

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Pato Margetic led four Kansas City players with two goals each Tuesday night to power the Comets to a 12-2 Major Indoor Soccer League romp over the Los Angeles Lazers.
Margetic also collected three assists to help Kansas City enjoy its biggest margin of victory in the club’s history. Two years ago, the Comets routed Tacoma, 11-2.
Dale Mitchell, Tasso Koutsoukos and Jan Goossens also had two goals each. Goossens extended his consecutive-game scoring streak to 36, dating to last season.
Los Angeles, which has lost 14 straight road games while dropping to 7-14, received goals from Paul Kipson and Zizinho. Kansas City improved to 17-17.
