Two suspects in a 5-year-old case involving a $7-million bomb extortion threat against United Airlines have been arrested, the FBI announced in San Diego. David Palasky, 37, was arrested in Estacada, Ore., east of Portland, and Patrick Randall, 35, was apprehended in Reno, agents said. Both men are former El Centro residents and were sought in connection with telephone threats to blow up a plane bound from San Diego’s Lindbergh Field to Hawaii in February, 1982, unless United delivered $7 million to the caller. The plane landed without incident, and no bomb was found.
