UCLA Routs Arizona; Young Wins Three Events
Kevin Young won three events Saturday to lead UCLA to a 102-55 victory over Arizona in a Pacific 10 dual track and field meet at Drake Stadium.
Young, runner-up in the NCAA 400-meter hurdles last year, won that event in 51.06 seconds. He also won the 110-meter high hurdles in 14.29 and the long jump at 23 feet 8 inches.
It was UCLA’s 21st straight dual meet win under third-year coach Bob Larsen. The Bruins are the defending national dual meet champions.
