Outfielder Joe Carter of the Cleveland Indians ended a six-day walkout and returned to spring training at Tucson, Ariz.
The first baseman-outfielder left camp when the Indians renewed his contract at $250,000. It was $130,000 less than the minimum he said he would accept. Carter led the major leagues with 121 runs batted in last season, while batting .302 with 29 home runs.
