Burned Pizza Store Yields Victim’s Body
The body of the manager of a Domino’s Pizza store was found in the burned interior of the store at 116 N. Vincent Ave. early Wednesday, police said.
The victim, Nyle Kevin Friesen, 20, of Diamond Bar, apparently reported to a 911 operator that the store was being held up, said Lt. Pat Kortan. When officers arrived, they found the building in flames. The fire, police said, apparently was intentionally set.
Firefighters doused the blaze in 20 minutes, then found the body near the rear door, Kortan said.
Friesen apparently died of smoke inhalation.
