Customers Watch Robbery: A man who threatened a bank teller with a handgun while customers looked on Tuesday escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. Police Sgt. Bill Barrett said the bandit entered the Harbor Bank branch in the 5300 block of Katella Avenue shortly after 10 a.m., pulled out a gun and demanded cash. Some of the 10 customers in the bank were aware that a robbery was in progress because the gunman was “loud and threatening,” Barrett said. The robber was described as in his 30s, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing 150 to 160 pounds. Barrett said he was wearing khaki pants and a plaid shirt with a baseball cap. He fled in a dark vehicle driven by another person, of whom no description was available, Barrett said.
