100 Killed as Speeding Bus Hits Truck in Uganda

KAMPALA, Uganda — Uganda radio reported Tuesday that more than 100 people were killed when a speeding bus slammed into a truck and plunged off the highway in eastern Uganda during the weekend.
The official government station said 120 people were on the bus when the accident occurred Sunday near Doho, 120 miles east of Kampala on the road between Mbale and Toroto. It quoted witnesses as saying the bus was traveling too fast.
