U.S.-Israel and Spy Case
I could not agree more with Pfaff’s article.
We poor mortals think that the heads of government should be wiser than we are. How can one democratic nation, Israel, endanger peaceful relations with an ally, the United States, for a handful of secrets? And which, in this electronic age, are probably not secret.
As an American Jew, I feel particularly betrayed by a country that I have always admired.
Conrad’s cartoon (March 17) shocks us into reality. He draws the busts of Oliver North and Pollard on pedestals with one sarcastic word of “Heroes” underneath.
I am just as disgusted and angered by the rascality of North as by that of Pollard--and I am particularly unhappy at the stupidity of both of them.
