“Late for the Sky.” Jackson Browne. Asylum (AAD). Until now, the only Browne albums that have been available in CD have been the ‘80s LPs, which means you haven’t been able to sample the best of this deeply introspective, folk-accented songwriter. But “Sky,” Browne’s most graceful and moving work, is now out in CD. Listening to the 1974 album again after all these years, the production and singing seem timid and thin, but the songs themselves--reflections on personal and social innocence--remain endearing examples of the best of Southern California’s ‘70s singer-songwriter movement. 1/2
