Dionne Goal Helps Rangers Edge North Stars, 6-5

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. —
Marcel Dionne and George McPhee scored the tying and winning goals 17 seconds apart in the third period Monday night, giving the New York Rangers a 6-5 victory over Minnesota that jeopardized the North Stars’ playoff hopes.
The Rangers, who clinched a Patrick Division playoff spot over the weekend, are one point behind the third-place New York Islanders and two behind the second-place Washington Capitals.
