Roger Clemens reduced his contract demands and said he would accept a two-year pact for $2 million, a cut of more than $400,000 from his previous stance.

The American League’s Most Valuable Player and Cy Young Award winner, who left the Boston training camp at Winter Haven, Fla., 25 days ago in a contract dispute, had sought $1.2 million a year for a multi-year pact or $1 million for one year.
