Ex-Steamer Lee Helps Lazers Beat His Old Team, 3-2

ST. LOUIS — Former Steamer Stuart Lee kicked in a power-play goal with 11:07 remaining, giving the Los Angeles Lazers a 3-2 victory over St. Louis Friday night in a battle of MISL tail-enders.
Lee’s goal, his 26th of the season, snapped a deadlock created by Daryl Doran’s two goals for St. Louis and gave the Lazers their first win in St. Louis since April 21, 1984.
The Steamers, who had won six straight games at home, made up a 2-0 deficit in the second and third periods.
Thompson Usiyan, who set up Lee’s winning kick, and Gus Mokalis scored to give the Lazers their 2-0 advantage during the first 13 minutes, both on solo rushes through St. Louis’ defense.
