Pilots at Pacific Southwest Airlines and USAir...
Pilots at Pacific Southwest Airlines and USAir Group have negotiated an integrated seniority list to be used if the two airlines merge operations, PSA said Monday.
The integration “is fair and equitable to all flight crew members,” according to Peter Pettigrew, PSA master executive council chairman for the Air Line Pilots Assn., which represents pilots at both PSA and USAir.
USAir’s proposed $400-million acquisition of PSA is contingent on the Teamsters Union approving modifications to contracts covering nearly 4,000 PSA flight attendants, ground personnel, mechanics and reservations agents. ALPA and two unions that represent about 50 PSA employees already have approved the modifications.
PSA, USAir and PS Group, PSA’s parent company, have placed an April 30 deadline on completing the merger.
