Gateway Communications Reports Rise in Earnings

Gateway Communications Inc., an Irvine-based supplier of networking and communications products for IBM PCs, reported first-quarter net income of $653,561, more than double the $251,955 in net earnings reported a year earlier. Revenue of $4.1 million was up 88% from $2.2 million in the comparable period last year.
