On the 100th day of testimony in the “Twilight Zone” involuntary manslaughter trial, both sides finally rested their cases. The actions came after a fifth prosecution rebuttal witness, casting director Michael Fenton, contradicted testimony by film director John Landis that Fenton was not asked by Landis about hiring two children who later died in the 1982 film set helicopter crash. Final arguments in the trial, which began in September, are expected to begin early next week and continue for about a week. Landis and four associates are accused of criminal negligence in the death of the children and actor Vic Morrow.
